Started in 2007, Nashville Rowing Club is a non-profit organization with the purpose of developing and supporting the sport of rowing in Middle Tennessee by offering learn to row and competitive programs. We row at Hamilton Creek Marina.
Our learn to row program is designed to introduce the sport rowing to the public in an effort broaden the exposure of the sport. Rowing offers a low impact, full-body workout that anyone can learn at any age.
Our competitive program is for those that want to race at the regional and national level. The fall season focuses on “head races” (3 miles). The spring and summer seasons focus on sprint races (1000 meters or 0.62 miles). Our crews compete at the “masters” level, which allows for time handicapping based on age. Women and men compete in separate and mixed events with crews of 4 and 8 plus a coxswain.
Nashville Rowing is a growing organization that is always looking for new recruits on any level of experience. If you are interested in learning more contact us at info@nashvillerowing.org.
