Nashville is a great racing venue and, after racing closely in the head race season of 2015 with Chicago and Atlanta, and knowing they could be interested in meeting in the middle to race each other - we floated the idea of having everyone meet on our course. Hosting the Youth Sprints is a great way to bring strong rowing programs through our home, show them a positive experience, while also exposing our own community to the larger rowing world that is outside of Tennessee.
When and Where?
The 2017 Music City Youth Sprints will be on Saturday April 22nd, the first races launching around 7 AM, and competition wrapping up in the early afternoon so that the visiting teams have time to travel home. Hamilton Creek Marina on Percy Priest Lake, where Nashville Rowing lives, is where we will race. Here is the 2017 Regatta Information Packet with more information:
The racing will be over 2000m on the same course as 2016 (start/finish direction pending for wind predictions). The course is built in a way that is easy for spectators and viewers with the shoreline being only 10 feet off of the inside lane!
What Logistics do I need to know?

How do I Volunteer?
We are only able to run such a robust race with the support of our community. Each of the visiting teams will be bringing multiple buses of athletes so we have to have the logistics and controls in place to run a safe and structured event. Please step up to volunteer by filling out the following Volunteer Sign-up form:
