Rowers on our Development Program are a mix of those that are coming up from our Novice Program, new members with previous experience who need some time to refresh to the sport of rowing, and those that can not commit to the practices and training of our Competitive Program.
The goal of Nashville Rowing's Masters Development Program is to provide athletes the chance to continue working hard at improving in Sweep & team Sculling boats without the pressure and consistency required of high-level race preparation. Athletes will have the chance to progress to our Competitive Program, if they and the coaches want, where they can test their skills and athleticism in a very comprehensive racing schedule throughout the year.
Team and boat practices will be run out of the Hamilton Creek Marina on Percy Priest Lake during the Fall, Spring, Summer, and on Saturdays during the Winter. When weather pushes us indoors, practices will be in the Erg Room at Harpeth Hall on Hobbs Rd.
UPDATED FOR WINTER 2018-19: Practices will be Monday, Wednesday and Saturday). Both Monday and Wednesday are from 6:30-8:30 at the Harpeth Hall School, with Saturdays on the water if the weather cooperates!
