Nashville Rowing's Adult Learn-to-Row Weekends are for adults of any age, size, and interest who want to try rowing for the first time. Our seasons fill up quickly and participation is granted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please complete our INTEREST FORM to receive information.
The goal of our Adult Learn-to-Row Weekends and Novice classes is to provide the opportunity for adults to do just as the name says: learn how to row! In a two-day format over the weekend, the group will have a chance to experience rowing on a machine, learn verbiage and purpose of every aspect of an oar and boat, and take strokes out in a boat on the lake. The following Novice classes, over the span of a few weeks, prepare you to continue higher in our Masters Development and Competitive Programs. If you follow the entire cycle of adult rowing in our club, you can go from a completely new rower to racing down the course at Masters Nationals within a year or two!
